self-harm and suicide

It is hard to cope when someone you are close to dies. Here are some suggestions from people who use this site, of ways of coping if you are having suicidal thoughts or are self-harming:

1 piece of advice i have is IT MAY BE HARD BUT KEEP UR CHIN UP PUT A BRAVE FACE ON AND DON'T EVER FEEL SO TRAPPED U HAVE 2 DO STUPID FINGS TO URSELF TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN THERE B4 N IT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE I MADE

JUST THINK OFF IT THIS WAY
YOU MIGHT SEE THEM AGAIN ONE DAY
SO DONT END YA TIME HERE OTHER WISE WAT U GONNA TALK ABOUT
:) HANG IN THERE

...wen i was havin problems copin wiv everythin in my head it helped me to write stuff down...

try not to focus on dying think about all the things you have thought you might want to do and go and do them without thinking about it just go!

focus on things that will happen near in the future that you will enjoy. that is wot i do, even though it is hard, it makes you want to stay hear, to see that event/ to get that something of someone

…find a different way of chanelling your feeling like visiting places that you and your shared,or write a poem about them, just anything that help you think about them with out upseting you so much that you feel the need to cut yourself…

…the only thing that stopped me takin the last step were the people around me (my family). i'd never told them wat was happenin n dint want them 2 feel guilty 4 not knowin n not helpin me, if i just ended my life wivout tellin them.
i still havent told them wat happened 2 me or how i felt but i've spoken to other ppl about it n thats helped.

dont do it or you will regret it, i am so happy i never did, think about ur family and how sad they would be and all ur friends how much u will be missed. Everytime you feel like this just think about all the good times you have had…
