| Winstons Wish - a charity which supports bereaved children and young people

| The Grief Centre - Manchester Area Bereavement Forum (MABF) is a bereavement support and training organisation set up by volunteers in 1993 to offer support to people experiencing loss and those caring agencies involved in bereavement work within a variety of professional and non-professional settings. Their School Liaison Project offers help and advise on supporting bereaved children in schools.

website for the creation of memorials - this has the facility to leave photos, biographies, memories and messages - even lighting a candle is possible. Cost is £10 / year of posting and the money raised goes to support the work of hospices

| Channel4 Health House - Children's Bereavement - A web page that provides information on childhood grief, how to support young people, different stages in a child's grief and talking about death. This page gives a comprehensive list of resources including books on childhood grief.

| ChildLine - the UKs free 24 hour helpline for children and young people in trouble or danger

| NSPCC - National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. NSPCC also offer an online service to teenagers at www.there4me.com, where you can chat online in real time to a trained advisor.

| The Compassionate Friends – offers support after the death of a brother or sister
