Dear Daisy

Keely

Daisy please hold my hand
give me the strength to speak
For standing here is bad enough,
I might make these people weep.

Throughout this week we've laughed and cried,
even though we are sad inside.
I've found the strength from deep within
and i will make these people grin.

I shan't share your secrets
they're not mine to give away
but i shall tell a story
about the other day

I wanted to be close to you
I felt that you'd be near
if i led upon your bed
amongst the mess you've yet to clear

You're probably still laughing,
my discomfort all to clear
your phone charger dug into my ribs
and wrappers rustled in my ear

Last night i saw a shooting star,
I'm pretty sure was you
cos you are up in Heaven now
and i miss you Daisy Doo.

Because our loss is Heavens gain,
and in knowing that there is no blame
for you I traust are smiling down
you never had much time to frown

You are my baby sister,
You know how much i care.
I can't describe this feeling
of knowing that you're not here.

I want to sit and hold you,
for forever and a day.
I want to see your sunny smile
and brush the tears away.

If i could only tell you
how special you are to me
and that your smiling face
is in my memory.

It will be etched in my heart forever
until we meet again
and then we can have a cuddle
cos this is not the end.

I love you x x x x x

Daisy was 13 years old and died when she was hit by a van.
