jigsaw pieces
amelia
In the dark caverns of each of us,
Under films of timeless, spilt star-dust,
Shining still, despite the gloom,
A stained-glass heart of love and trust.
For we split our hearts in jigsaw-pieces,
Coloured shards of thoughts and feelings,
Shaped by love, and held by those
Who’ve given our lives meaning.
This kaleidoscope of every hue,
From vivid greens, to burnt-out blues,
A mosaic masterpiece, in truth,
Yet incomplete without you.
