Stargazing
Charlie
I remember standing on your doorstep
Our arms wrapped around each other
Peering past the cloud, the city lights
Looking out for Grandad Eric
Seeing his star shining down
Lighting up our faces
Now I must do this alone
Without your arms to hold me tight
But one more star to search for
Now heaven’s claimed its latest angel
