i miss you jordan
Devan
We thought we had got everything right
We thought you wouldn’t have to fight
No more needles, operations, nothing.
All over now.
But that was where we were wrong
Your voice no longer sounded like a song
You got worse in the last month or two
Oh baby, how much I miss you
You spent your last days inside covered up
You were so poorly couldn’t drink from a cup
You just laid there in pain, not making a sound
We knew from then you wouldn’t come round
God needed an angel and he chose you
God didn’t realise I needed you too
Things are never going to be the same
I’m just glad your not suffering anymore pain
I hope one day soon, we will meet
When I think of you sweetie, my heart skips a beat
Just in time I whispered in your ear ‘I love you’
And you took your last breath, that was our cue
We still collect your feathers white as snow
We miss you so much, we didn’t want you to go
Please don’t ever think you’ve been forgotten
What happened to you was ever so rotten
I miss your smile, your laugh, your cry
It hurts each day without you but I get by
Wonder if I’ll have to cry myself to sleep tonight?
Knowing your fine now, makes everything alright
Rip now baby your out of harms way
Another day has gone in the month of may
The poem shows how much I truly feel for you
One day my fallen soldier, I’ll be up there too
