Mum

Sue

Miss you Mum
They put you in hospital, we thought we'd take you home,
You never complained once and we never heard you moan,
You began to get fed up, with all they had to say,
And kept wishing the home trip would hurry on its way,
We noticed you getting quiet, which just wasn't you,
To see you feeling sad made everyone so blue,
We came to visit and so strange to see you in bed,
I guess it was time to rest your weary head,
You didn't seem in pain, I hope that is so true,
You fought the sleep when people came to visit you,
You was so tired on that Tuesday night,
that very next morning you lost your fight,
You never seemed to suffer, just worried about us,
You drifted of to sleep with no hint of fuss,
You may not be here mum, but really you are,
I know where ever we may be you will not be far,
Memories are precious and will last a long while,
When we think of you we really should smile,
Goodnight, sleep tight, its time for you to rest,
Cos to us all mum you are Simply the best.

From your Heartbroken daughter Sue
