It was too hard to think that you could be dying
It was better to not think at all.
Easy to replace my fears with it can go on forever
Just fight, do everything right
But maybe the journey is all that mattered
You had something to teach us all

I thought not losing you was the lesson
The harder you fought the more you would win
But what if it was that fight
That showed us your courage, your spirit
Its not whether we are living or dying
But the strength, the heart we show in-between.

Now its time to listen so hard
To lessons already been taught
Messages that you have already spoken
The battles that you waged but lost
It is your strength and love that shone through all those wars
That, yes that is your lesson to us all.
