God Only Takes The Best
Naomi
When they ask you something,
which you don't know how to answer,
deep down you think,
she would have known.
She was like a friend,
she was unlike any other.
She taught me so many things,
I owe it to my mother.
I don't know how life can go on,
but I know it must,
'cos she told me...
be strong, daughter,
don't think i'm leaving you forever.
be strong I say,
Try not to cry so much,
I'm just a dream away.
The nights are the hardest,
I knew it would be true,
for what I dreamt would happen,
happened to you.
I hoped God would understand,
that nightmare's are not dreams,
but I can't even comprehend
why he took you not me.
I know she is at peace,
wherever she is sleeping.
I wish only that one night
I could see her smiling.
Why did He take you?
Did you fail some test?
No, I know the reason now,
God only takes the best.
