Dear Dad!

Life without you isn’t the same,
My life now is filled with grief and pain,
My thoughts are with you every day,
I wish this hurt would go away.

My future now looks dull and bleak,
I struggle to get through each week,
These sleepless nights that I endear,
I need your love, I need you here.

I miss the cuddles and chats we had,
Who’s going to be proud of me now Dad?
Many questions in my mind
The answers I will never find.

Your name still on the mail I get,
That night I left you I still regret,
All I can do now is yearn,
Because your gone and won’t return

I saw you lay there so alone,
But now I’m the one who’s on their own
You’re now at peace where you wanted to be,
Just promise me dad you’ll wait for me.
