Subject: Good Friend With Terminal Cancer

Hi, I've got a friend with cancer, and its terminal, she told me in the summer that she has 6 years, now she has told me she has 3 years left.
She is only 18 and doesn't smoke or anything similar, and she is really upset at the moment, she feels unfairly done by and she is scared.
I want to help her, but I don't know what to do, I'm good at making her laugh, and I take her out clubbing from time to time because I'm good at that but it still doesn't fix anything, it just masks it for a while.
Can anyone give me advice on what to do, what to say? I've never had to deal with anything similar to this in my life so am absolutely clueless as to what to do!
Thanks
James

wow, must be hard to have a friend on a timer, i lost my frind in a car crash right behind my back after a ran from him. i think you should just give her the best time you can. You must be a good friend, i wouldn't be able to handle it.

Just to say try having a look at www.yct.org.uk if you wish, it's the youth cancer trust and they offer free holidays to young people with cancer and a friend or family member. I thought maybe that might be something nice for you and your friend to do,
Lots of love Lx
