Subject: The day that george drowned 1/8/04

It was my dads birhtday and we went camping so that he could have a break. We went to edale where we always camped there was another family in the spot where we normally stayed so we was by the gate this time. Early on that sunday morning annother family arrived they were just there to have a family picnic and didn't plan to stay long. There was two families in there group. There was Oliver 8, George 7, Yasmin 13, and their mother Jane. The other family there was a little boy about 5/6 and a little girl bout 7/8. They played in the water with me when i was on my lilo. We all got out to have a drink.
I layed my lilo on the grass and sunbathed. I think i fell asleep i just opened my eyes to see Jane running up and down shouting "George-George" I knew straight away what had happened so i went to the other side of the stream to look for him it was no good i couldnt se him any where. I asked my dad if he had seen him but no one had. "Help Help" a man screamed as he pulld blue. He had a small cut on his head abouve his eye. Every one tried there best but we could do nothing. Me and my brother ran staight up the mountain so we could get a signal to call an ambulance we reached the farm yard before we got a singnal. Then the farmed called for an air ambulance he took me and my brother back down the mountain on his Quad i never got to say thankyou.
When the air ambulance finally arrived it was to late george was dead . The other family that was with them tried to calm Jane down but they couldn't.Olive screamed and screamed saying it was all his fault but it was no-ones there was nothing anyone could have done to change what happened that day
the day that george died
