Hi Kirsty we're so sorry to hear that your mum is poorly, it must be really hard to see her like this knowing she will not get better. It's a lot to deal with & we're not surprised it all feels strange. We wanted to let you know that there is a website for young people who have someone in their lives who is dying where you can make contact with other people in the same situation as you. Their address is www.winstonswish.org.uk, it's worth having a look at. It's really great that you're reaching out at such a hard time in your life. Take care & all the best. Rd4U Support Team

Hello Kirsty I am so sorry to hear about your mum. The only thing I can say is tell her how much you love her and try and take every day at at time. I lost my mum to cancer too and this time last year she was like your mum. God bless, lots of love to youx

Subject:I'm 11 too

I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum. I'm 11 like you, and my Granny died 6 months ago. It's like I knew she was going to die so I didn't cry when my Mum told me the truth. It still hasn't hit me now. Maybe it hit me a long time ago, when I went to visit her in hospital... I've cried reading all your sad messages before, making me feel like I'm not the only one. You're a really brave girl, keep smiling and don't feel depressed about it, keep telling yourself it's not gonna affect your grades or anything. But don't let my message make you think you have to forget about your mum when she's gone, she's really important to you, I can see that, so don't forget her.
