Subject: my 40 year old dad died of CANCER!

it is so unfair my dad died of cancer it spread all over his body and there was no cure. I love my dad so so so much and i miss him so much. At the end my dad went into a commar and stopped breathing at 7.00am I saw it all happening it was horrible.All his face and neck was purple nearly black because there was no oxygen getting into his head. He was only 40 .thats way to younge to die. I love you dad , at least you died peacfully without any pain . from katie aged 11

Hi Katie, I'm really sorry to hear about your dad, and I agree, 40 is a very young age to die at. It must have been hard for you to have been there when he actually did pass away and to have seen him the way he was. I think you are really really brave. It is completly understandable that you miss your dad as he was obviously very close to you. It is so hard when someone close to you dies and you sometimes can only take one day at a time. I hope you have someone you can talk to about how your feeling. Take care of yourself

Hey Katie, I just came across this website and read your story about your dad. I am so sorry that he had to pass away at such a young age. My dad passed away 3 weeks ago from cancer also. It's very hard and it seems as if life shouldn't go on but yet it has to. I just want to let you know that if you wanted to ever talk, feel free. Maybe we can help each other out.

My dad died from cancer about 3 months ago now, and it was devastating. Stay strong and remember all the good times.
