Subject : My Dad has died
I just found out that my dad has died.  In fact he has been dead (they think - that is the Police) since the beginning of January.  He was badly decomposed so they identified him by his papers.  Imagine my shock finding out this way!  We were estranged my father and I.  I guess I never forgave him for the divorce.  My mother got custody. but he never really made the effort to see my brothers and I.  It was only after the birth of my daughter that he started building bridges.  But he missed 20+ years of my life.  The last time I saw him was October 2006 at my brothers wedding.  I gave him a big hug and told him I loved him.  I was hoping that we could learn to be close again but he has gone now, and I feel confused I don't know what to feel.  My dad has gone and it's too late.......
