Subject: My Gran

My gran died 5 days after i turned 9, and I still haven't got over it. The only thing that makes me feel better is a doll she left to me. I hold her hand while clutching the only other thing she left to me, and pretend I'm talking to her. It helps, but I've still got a hole inside where she used to be, and nothing's ever going to fill it.

I'm sorry to hear about your gran, it's never easy losing someone especially if they were close to you. You said that your Gran died 5 days after your 9th birthday, how old are you now? I think that it is a positive thing that you have your doll which reminds you of her because this way you are able to have something to remind you of her and that can stay with you for as long or as little as you like. I also think that it is important that you relise that no-one has to replace your gran and the loss of her is something that you are going to have to try and live with.
