Me and my partner mike met four years ago, we had been together 6 months before i found out i was pregnant, quick i know buy i knew we were meant to be.i was three months pregnant just worked a night shift mike came to pick me up and broke the news to me that my nan had suddenly passed away, (my dad's mum). dad was on holiday at the time in Spain i had to break the devastating news to him, i honestly thought that it was the hardest thing i would ever have experienced in a long time, i was so wrong.
Dad arrived back, and we found out nan had undetected stomach cancer. We gave nan the best send off we could.
About 2 months later we found out mike's dad's cancer had returned he had a tumour removed before i met mike, but this time the cancer had returned in his lungs, there was nothing they could do.I was 5 months pregnant at the time.
In the meantime my dad had been sufferin back pain for a few months now, hospital tests and examinations said it was irritable bowl syndrome. But this one perticular day he was rolling around on the floor with it agony. We took him up the hospital and it confirmed bowl cancer. My world was shattered.
Mike's dad was taken into a hospice, he was not safe at home, sadly he died on dec 13 2003.
My dad was going through chemo, and in feb 2004 his grandaughter (my angel) was born. He promised to fight this cancer with all his will power and determination he did, he made me so proud. He loved shannon (my little girl) too bits. But sadly the cancer took over and he passed away on april 15 2005.I often wonder why they had to take him away from me and why him when there is so many other bad people out there, but then i come to the conclusion that god only takes the best. Take care dad, nan and albert (mike's dad), miss you all. Xxxx
