| Subject: School is really hard at the moment
My cousin died just over a month ago. She was only 22 and had her whole life ahead of her. At the momement at school, the focus of assemblies are making the most of life, cos you don't know how short it will be. This has been really hard. Has anyone else been in a similar situation, and please tell me what u did.

Subject: School
This happened to me, at the time my grandads both died, the day after the funeral our RE lesson was all about funerals. I found it really difficult, and I was trying so hard not to cry but I had to get my friend to ask if we could go out of the room.
Perhaps you should let your form/tutor group teacher know that you're finding things a little overwhelming at the moment and ask if maybe she/he could find out what the next few assemblies are about. If they are about similar topics, or things that might upset you, then you could ask if you would be allowed to stay in the classroom with a friend, and miss the assembly. If the teacher won't let you, ask one of your parents to write you a note explaining.
If you find it hard to ask, get a friend to ask for you.
I hope this helps,
Georgie
