| Subject: i hope this helps you all
My name is Sarah J and I'm dying.
I won't go into the reason why, but I'm here to talk to the rest of you who are struggling to cope with the death of a loved one.
Death is a horrible thought, and a lot of people are scared of how they'll feel, what will happen and what gets left behind.
When you find out that life is going to be cut incredibly short, you realise how precious every second is. I'm 15 and won't see my 16th birthday. My mum used to say, "do things today incase tomorrow never comes", but the truth is, there is only so much you can cram into one day. I'm sure that many of your loved ones had dreams before they died. Maybe they wanted to go to a particular country, or get a degree or even be a singer, but they never got the chance to do it? Maybe they said I'll do that tomorrow, but tommorrow never came?
There are so many things that I'd like to do before I go, but I know I can't. But I do enjoy dreaming about them. I enjoy writing stories and imaging what it would be like - every who has a dream would do this and it's a wonderful experience.
My nan passed away about 18 months ago. She always dreamt of having the confidence to be a karoke singer. She never did get up onto stage, but we had great fun talking about it. While you are experiencing this grief of losing a loved one, please take time to think about their dreams, think about how you spoke about them and what you said. How much fun did you have? And remember this, they may be gone, but they're living their dreams to the fullest! Take a day at a time, smile when you wake up and when you go to bed. They will see you and smile with you.
Don't try and do too much in your life, you can do what you missed after.
Take care of yourselves, I hope this has helped.
Lots of love and hugs to you all
Sarah J
