My friends death is really affecting me. I am scared of doing small things mow. He was killed in a car crash and it scares me how easy it is to lose your life. I dont know who to talk to or who to turn to. I get scared about crossing roads, and getting in cars. Please help.

Hi there, i completely understand how you feel. After seeing my best friend get hit by a motorbike, i saw the damage vehicles can do, and i too was afraid to get in a car and found it especially daunting to cross a road. I promise you that this feeling slowly fades..it will take time, but time is the best healer. Make sure you use your seat belt in a car to make you feel safer, and remember your green-cross code whilst crossing a road: stop-look-listen. how you're feeling is completely natural, and many people who have lost someone in a road accident go through the same thing, so you're not alone.perhaps it would help to talk to someone face to face about your fears?

Subject: Can't hold still
Losing someone close always makes you realize how very fragile your life is, but that's when you have to realize that living a life is to precious to waste. It's scaring knowing that you're life can end the next second but there's nothing you can do but make sure you don't regret anything in your life and that all the people you care about know it. Don't hold yourself back from living your life because death is very much a part of living.
