A last Goodbye

I never said, what needed to be said,
I never told you, what needed to be told,
I never realised, until you were gone.

I never got to say my last goodbye,
Or give you a last kiss to send you on your way,
Or give you that final hug.

If only I'd known there and then,
That this would be my last moment with you,
I would have never left your side.

I never told you what you meant to me,
I never told you I loved you,
I never said goodbye,
Before you left me to be at Gods side.
